Hands up! If you used a BB on your face this morning instead of foundation? My hand is up (Lol).
If only I could see these show of hands I would imagine I’d see about half of you with your hands in the air, waving about with so much excitement, indicating you have jumped on board the BB train.:-).
The BB in BB cream stands for Beauty or Blemish Balm. This formula, which was designed to lighten (some of them) and brighten skin originated in Asia (thanks to them) and have been popular in Asia for years, and now more than a dozen formulas are available in other parts of the world.
Most BB Creams comes with the below properties:
- Moisturizing
- Skin whitening
- Blocking UV rays
- Priming the skin
- Tinting the skin
- Refracting light to make skin look more radiant
- Providing anti-aging components
- Enriching the skin with vitamins
BB Cream are NOT one shade fits all. Yes I know, some packages claim that but I have found a wide range of colors and they don’t all work
with every skin tone. You may need to test a few formulas before you
find a match.
BB Cream are best applied with a brush. Just like any
complexion makeup, the key to making these tinted balms work is to
blend, blend and blend some more. A foundation brush will do.
