I wrote about Eyewear and Belts. In this concluding part, I will be discussing Jewelry, Handbags...:-)
Jewelry
Jewelry tends to add to
on to your personal style. Find the right accessory and you will completely
transform a plain outfit to appear glamorous! However, most people do not
understand that jewelry can either make or break your overall
look.
For this reason, Jewelry
must be worn properly and chosen even more cautiously. Silver jewelry and gold
jewelry are quite popular. If you invest in silver and gold pieces, how they
look will depend on how they are worn, among other factors.
Let’s start with silver
jewelry. Unlike jewelry made from gold, silver pieces go well with almost any
other skin tone. People with warm skin tones and light skin tones look great
with jewelry made of silver. However, silver pieces tend to be more visible when
worn by people with cool skin tones.
You can also play around
with silver pieces and make them appear amazingly unique. To add on some
glamour, you can consider jewelry made of gold and wear them together with your
silver jewelry. However, this will certainly depend on your own personal style.
When it comes to gold
jewelry, your skin tone matters, and your skin tone can determine how good they
look on you. People with warm skin tones tend to look amazing with gold
jewelry.
Your hair color should
also blend perfectly with the type of jewelry you chose. If you are a blonde
then gold jewelry will make your eyes look amazing. If you have brown or dark
hair then silver jewelry will bring out the best in you. However, any eye color
can look amazing with both silver and gold jewelry.
Tall figures tend to look best in chunky and
oversized accessories while Petite figure look best in less chunky and smaller
accessories. Just a guideline! So yes, you can break these guidelines but keep
the proportions flattering by making sure that you shine as much as the
accessories do.
To summarize, your choice
of fashion jewelry will mostly be dictated by your personal style. If you like
jewelry that makes you stand out, then you can still combine both silver and
gold jewelry pieces.
Remember that both materials come in different shapes and
sizes so you should choose one that works perfect for your personal style.
When choosing any type of
jewelry, make sure it blends with the outfit you are wearing. You can also find
a one size fits all kind of accessory that goes along perfectly with almost all
your outfits. And don’t be afraid to try new types of jewelry instead of
sticking to gold and silver jewelry only! Remember that the idea is to make any
type of fashion jewelry look good on you, and not the other way around... so
wear it with confidence!
Handbags
Handbags are one way to get a quick fix style refresher. Match your
bag to your shoes, belt, scarf,
necklace, top or outerwear. Or mismatch the colour entirely to create an extra
strong statement. Handbags come in a variety of
shapes, styles, fabrics and colors. They are designed, not only to hold your
belongings, but also to make a fashion statement. When categorizing handbags,
you should think of them in two different ways - the shape of the bag and the
way you carry it. We have Shoulder Bag, Clutch, Tote, Messenger and more.
Not every handbag is ideal for every
woman. Here are some tips to find the perfect handbag for you.
Tall and
slim
Handbags
with a short, slouchy shape like the hobo tend to work well. Shoulder bags with
a short strap will make you look even taller, so it’s better to avoid them.
Select handbags that are wider than they are tall. A clutch is a good choice.
Petite
Oversized
bags aren't for small women. Large bags tend to drown your frame. Avoid
shoulder bags with a long strap because they will weigh you down, making you
look even shorter.
Plus-size
Pick
a large structured or boxy bag to balance out your curves. Don't carry a bag
that is too small as it will make you look larger. Yep you can do prints, but avoid
tiny patterns.
Ladies/Gents these are not hard and fast rule, just a guideline.:-).
