Bovi: I’ve conquered The Stage, Film Is The Next Level For Me

 Popular stand-up comedian, Bovi Ugboma, who has worked with top Nigerian comedy giants and featured in lots of comedy shows, has declared that he has conquered the stage and the next challenge for him now is movies. Bovi who once worked as Richard Mofe Damijo’s Personal Assistant recently delved into movie production.  His debut movie as a producer is “It’s Her Day”. Bovi first gained popularity for his acting skills after featuring in the sitcom, “Extended Family” which was produced in 2007. 


The upcoming romantic movie, “It’s Her Day” is directed by Aniedi Anwah. Bovi basically featured new faces with the exception of Omoni Oboli and Amanda Ebeye. The new faces include Ini Dima-Okojie, Shaffy Bello, Toni “Tones” Adefuye, Thelma Ezeamaka, Enajite Dede and Gregory Ojefua

The movie, which he describes as “the worst love story ever told,” is scheduled to hit the cinemas on the 9th of September. The movie talked about, a soon-to-be couple from different backgrounds who have contrasting ideas of what their wedding day should be like. The husband-to-be (Bovi) who has to deal with the demands and antics of his fiancée and her sisters during his wedding preparations.


Bovi assured his fans that he is not dumping stand up comedy.
