Fourteen Oil workers kidnapped in Rivers


Fourteen Oil workers were kidnapped yesterday afternoon around Omoku-Elele link road.


A Costa bus carrying the company’s workers was accosted and diverted to an unknown destination under heavy gunfire by the bandits. The workers were returning to Port Harcourt after they had gone to work at Omoku area. The Public Relations Officer of Rivers State Police Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed the development and quickly adding that the police were on top of the situation. Omoni said, “We are combing the area right now. We are doing our best to rescue the victims and apprehend the kidnappers.
