Rio 2016 Paralympic: Rolland Ezuruike Wins First Gold For Nigeria

Rolland Ezuruike has won team Nigeria first gold at the 2016 Paralympic games in Rio De Janeiro.

Ezuruike lifted 200kg in the men’s 54kg to beat China’s Jian Wang and Greece’s Dimitrios Bakochristos to the top prize. It is Nigeria’s first gold and the second medal in the games.

Earlier, Latifat Tijani had won silver in the women’s 45kg powerlifting event with a lift of 106kg.
